Look at the Heart

I want to share this message from Daily Bible Devotion: But the Lord said to Samuel, "Don't judge by his appearance or height, for I have rejected him. The Lord doesn't see things the way you see them. People judge by outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart." (NLT) 1 Samuel 16:7 NLT + More Versions Isn't it refreshing God doesn't judge us by our appearance but rather purity of heart? Instead, He looks at our motivations and thoughts to judge each one of us. Take it one step further, do we hold others to the same standard God holds to?  Or, do we instead judge others according to the ways of this world, which is only skin deep?
